Description: Airplane purchased from U.S. Navy. Airframe disassembled. All structural hardware replaced or inspected as necessary. Wing bolts magnafluxed. All rubber hoses replaced. Painted blue and white with red stripe, U. S. Navy recruiting paint scheme. Painted with Imron polyurethane. Certified in Utility category. Engine overhauled by Pacific Continental in Van Nuys Ca. in 1999 and installed in 2001. Propeller overhauled by Aero Propeller in Hemet, Ca. in 1997. Very stock airplane. This Mentor has been a museum display airplane since its restoration in 1991. It has been flown for museum events and has not been abused. Wing A.D. completed Jan 2007. |
